Through a series of transactions the Club purchased the former powerhouse property and made a deal with the Railroad to obtain a land access route to Westerly Way and the Broadway Bridge. The Club sold some land to the Railroad and gave up their old right-of-way across the tracks behind the clubhouse. In return, the Railroad sold land to the Club and closed its manned track crossing. A marine track and turn table were installed on the new property, which allowed members to store boats on the premises.
