The Club built a marina and a swimming pool in the early1960s.
The marina was initially formed by mooring four wooden grain barges
in the river and connecting them by an 80 foot long timber trestle
with continuous sheet piling. The old dinghy marina, in front
of the Clubhouse, was no longer needed and would be gradually
filled in. The marine railway was removed in favor of a mobile
travel lift and dock, which allowed more efficient and flexible
boat storage. An above-ground swimming pool was built where the
former marine track had been.
